Mapping What Was Familiar is an exploration of the space between the photographic medium and the poetics of everyday life. Meditating on presence and absence the series operates associative from an inspection of the personal with a searching for a sense of belonging. Tracing the ephemeral and dealing with the volatility of memory, the work explores a fragmented landscape and attempting to piece it together.
